Fat in blood

Oil and water don't mix. So, how does fat exist in blood, which is water-based? Fat is transported in the blood by phospholipids which are half water soluble and half lipid or fat soluble. These phospholipids combine into a sheet with the fat soluble half on one side, then curve into a sphere or micelle with all the fat protected in the middle. A practical application of phospholipids is used as cleaning detergents. Phospholipids help wash away oily dirt by collecting it and transporting the oils away from clothes in a washing machine's expelled water.
Lipids are wrapped by a micelle and delivered to the blood via the lymphatic system.
Tea catechins inhibit the increase of fat in your body.

Although fat in the blood becomes nutrition in the cells, excess fat intake eventually leads to an increase in body fat which can lead to obesity. People go to great lengths to avoid obesity; however the desire to eat fried and fatty foods can often overpower good intentions regarding health and weight management. Inhibiting the absorption of fat can ease this dilemma by discharging the fat rather than processing it. Is it possible to eat fatty food but inhibit its absorption and discharge it from the body? That's where tea catechins come in. Tea catechins inhibit the absorption of fat and its accumulation in the body.

Experimental Results
The effect of tea catechins on weight control in mice.

The effect of tea catechins on body fat was studied. Mice were fed a high fat content diet and their body fat was measured. The body fat of mice on this diet increased compared to mice on a normal diet, while mice fed with a high fat diet with tea catechins had the same level of body fat as the normal diet group.
※Mice, not rats, were used in this experiment.
